Credit Research Analyst will play a key role in enriching Perfios data-driven credit assessment capabilities by identifying, collecting, and analyzing financial and regulatory data from public sources. You will be responsible for discovering insights and patterns within diverse datasets, defining methodologies for credit evaluation, and collaborating closely with technical teams to streamline product development. This role requires strong analytical thinking, financial knowledge, and a proactive approach to compliance and regulatory research within the Indian business environment.

What you'll do:

  • Identification, collection and collation of datapoints across various untapped public sources and initiating a process pipeline for further development of the same.
  • Identifying patterns and linkages in existing datasets for further enrichment of Perfios current offerings.
  • Define and develop methodologies, databases and provide relevant insights for efficient credit assessment and loan monitoring of businesses across industries and sectors.
  • Collaboration with technical teams for end-to-end development of products offered by Perfios, streamlining the existing development process, and providing constant feedback to improve current standards.
  • Reporting and highlighting inconsistencies on product and dataset levels if any and taking pre-emptive action to avoid gaps in coverage.
  • Analysis of key financial and non-financial indicators and comparing them to their corresponding industry benchmarks for assessment of business performance.

What You'll Need:

(MUST HAVES)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities: proficient in conducting in-depth research involving the various regulations for running a business in India, should be able to identify implications and critical aspects of non-compliance with the same.
  • Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, and ability to apply business-oriented logic as a solution for automation of data driven services.
  • Should be able to work independently with due accountability on the projects assigned and ensure completion of processes within the timelines specified.

(HIGHLY DESIRED)

  • Inherent understanding of the Banking and Financial Services Industry in India
  • Having up-to-date knowledge of current trends in the regulatory risk, and fraud management domain, both domestic and global.
  • Awareness of statutory registrations applicable across Indian companies in various industry specific domains and their compliance as well as regulations around the same.
  • The basics of compliance and regulatory frameworks adhered to by various Indian entity types as per applicability.

Experience and Qualification:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in the BFSI/Financial Research or Analysis domain
