The Role

As
District Manager – Nashik
, you'll own
end-to-end labour marketplace operations
once workers arrive in the district. From camps and transport to digital dashboards and daily field execution, you'll be the person who ensures that
10,000+ acres of vineyards run like clockwork
.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Build & Lead the Supervisor Force

  2. Recruit, train, and manage
    field supervisors/mukkadams
    across pruning, tying, thinning, and other vineyard tasks.

  3. Set daily productivity targets, enforce escalation protocols, and drive discipline on the ground.

  4. Labour Allocation & Task Planning

  5. Convert farmer requests into
    digital job cards
    using our Ops dashboard.

  6. Assign labour, tools, and transport in the most efficient way—minimising idle time and delays.

  7. Camps, Logistics & Worker Welfare

  8. Run
    labour camps end-to-end
    : accommodation, sanitation, food, and compliance.

  9. Coordinate safe, daily transport between farms; partner with transporters as required.

  10. Maintain worker morale, discipline, and retention through fair practices.

  11. Quality Control & Safety

  12. Enforce
    SOPs
    for pruning, spraying, and tool usage.

  13. Conduct weekly safety briefings and on-field refreshers with the agronomy team.

  14. Investigate incidents quickly; implement root-cause fixes.

  15. Reporting & Insights

  16. Maintain real-time dashboards: task completion vs plan, absenteeism, cost per acre, and productivity.

  17. Analyse retention, attrition, and satisfaction data; share actionable insights with sourcing and leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years
    managing large, on-ground labour teams in vineyards, agri ops, or packhouses.
  • Strong expertise in
    grape farming cycles
    , especially forward & foundation pruning in Nashik.
  • Proven ability in
    multi-location field management, transport scheduling, and digital workforce tools.
  • Fluent in
    Marathi & Hindi
    ; culturally connected and respected in tribal labour belts.
  • Problem-solving mindset—willing to jump on a bike at 10 PM to fix an issue.
