PositionSummary:
Reportingto the Associate VicePresident Academic Program Quality Developmentand Integration (AVPA) the Senior Manager Work Integrated Learningis a role that will support Associate Deans WIL practitioners andother stakeholders to provide strategic leadership across theCollege to align with accessible learning health and safety signingauthority records retention among others. They will also assess andmeasure the impact of WIL on the student experience includingmonitoring College wide benchmarks. The Senior Manager will managethe placement student survey and feedback process (e.g. administersurveys collection of data analysis andreporting).
KeyResponsibilities:
  • Partnerswith the AVPA and the WIL Community of Practice and otherstakeholders internally and externally to implement the WIL policyprocesses and practices across Divisions to reach a common visionalign with quality frameworks and reduce risk to studentsafety.
  • Under the direction of the AVPA workswith Associate Deans to implement a Collegewide quality assuranceframework for WIL.
  • Identifies risks for WILacross the College and works collaboratively with Associate Deansto assess and mitigate risks at the Schoollevel.
  • Leads process reengineering effortscreates process documents agreement templates and policy. Formatters relating to legal risk and insurance identifies risks forWIL across the College and supports Associate Deans to identifyassess and mitigate risks at the School level. Workscollaboratively with subject matter experts at the College (e.g.General Counsel Risk Officer etc.) to identify shared solutionsthat practitioners can use.
  • Collaborates withkey stakeholders to monitor quality assurance measurements such asWIL completion rates student satisfaction and the quality ofexperiences across participants (students employers communitypartners etc.).
  • Maintains and supports LMSsites for schools in terms of WIL supports for inclusion of modulesregarding ethics and professionalism in the workplace among othersupports as required.
  • Leveraging technologyworks collaboratively to automated processes communications andalert mechanisms to mitigate risk.
  • Driveschange management and leads on compliance through building andsustaining relationships with Associate Deans and WIL practitionersthroughout the College.
  • Under the direction ofthe AVPA develops central supports for transitions alignment andcompliance such as templates tools procedures guides formsetc.
  • Leads the Work Integrated Learning (WIL)Working Group and collaborates with them and other stakeholders toalign with College strategy (Academic Plan Vision2040).
  • Supports Associate Deans with domesticexperiential learning partnership opportunities while strategicallygrowing international field education opportunities across programswith global industry partners.
  • Other relatedduties asassigned.
Educationaland ExperienceRequirements:
  • Masters degree from a recognized postsecondary institution in BusinessPublic Administration Strategy Experiential Learning or otherrelated discipline (Preferred)
  • (Preferred)Seven (7) years related experience with demonstrated senior levelexpertise in partnering and building sustainable relationships withmultiple diverse stakeholders across sectors (education governmentcommunity employer etc.) locally andinternationally.
  • Proven experience in leadingcrossfunctional teams and/or communities of practice in acollaborative consensusbuildingway.
