Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Migration Specialist to lead the migration of 550+ servers from on-premises and Azure environments to AWS. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS migrations, utilizing the Cloud Migration Factory (CMF), setting up load balancers, and implementing a robust tagging strategy. This role involves collaborating with application owners to gather requirements and ensure a smooth migration process.The role involves evaluating and designing IT infrastructure solution to support planning and executing ongoing cloud migration project. The specialist will oversee the entire migration process and be responsible for designing, maintaining, and monitoring the new cloud system.Key Responsibilities:Assessment and Planning:Conduct detailed assessments of existing infrastructure, applications, and workloads.Develop comprehensive migration strategies and plans, including timelines and resource requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and align migration plans accordingly.Evaluate existing legacy storage systems to understand current configurations, data structures, and performance metrics.

Migration Planning and Strategy:Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop a detailed migration plan using CMF.Assess existing legacy systems, including servers and storage, to determine optimal migration approaches.

CMF & LB Implementations:Utilize AWS Cloud Migration Factory (CMF) tools and methodologies to replicate servers and storage from legacy environments to AWS.Configure and optimize CMF for efficient and secure data replication.Ensure compliance with AWS best practices for migration, including security and cost management.Architect and implement load balancing solutions using AWS Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), including Application Load Balancer (ALB), Network Load Balancer (NLB), and Gateway Load Balancer (GLB).Configure load balancers to distribute traffic efficiently across multiple instances and availability zones to ensure high availability and reliability.Configure load balancers to enhance security, including setting up WAF (Web Application Firewall) rules, DDoS protection, and SSL/TLS certificates.Ensure load balancing configurations comply with organizational security policies and industry standards.Conduct regular security reviews and audits of load balancing setups.Maintain detailed documentation of load balancer configurations and procedures.

Tagging Strategy & Implementation:Develop and implement a comprehensive tagging strategy to manage AWS resources effectively.Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document tagging policies and standards that align with business requirements and compliance needs.Apply and manage tags across various AWS services and resources, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS instances, Lambda functions, and more.Use automation tools such as AWS Lambda, AWS Config, and AWS CloudFormation to deploy tags consistently and efficiently.Ensure all AWS resources are appropriately tagged according to the established strategy.Migration Execution:Lead the execution of cloud migration projects from on-premises and Azure to AWS.Ensure data integrity and minimal downtime during migrations.Implement best practices for security, scalability, and performance during migration processes.Cloud Architecture and Design:Design and implement cloud architectures that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.Create and maintain detailed documentation of the cloud infrastructure and migration processes.Optimize cloud environments post-migration for performance and cost-efficiency.Automation and Tooling:Develop and utilize automation scripts and tools for efficient cloud migrations.Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.Support and Troubleshooting:Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for migrated workloads.Collaborate with IT and support teams to resolve any issues that arise during and after migrations.Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.Certifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect – (Associate /Professional)AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty preferred.

Technical Skills:Strong understanding of Azure and AWS infrastructure services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM and Storage Gateway.Experience with storage protocols such as iSCSI, NFS, and SMB.Proficiency in using AWS migration tools such as CMF (Cloud Migration Factory), AWS Migration Hub, and Server Migration Service (SMS).Proficiency in using AWS management tools and services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and IAM.Experience with network configuration, security groups, and IAM roles in AWS.Experience with network configuration, including VPC peering, VPN, and Direct Connect, NAT Gateway, VPC Transit Gateway.Familiarity with any scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation tasks.

Migration Tools and Techniques:Proficiency with AWS Cloud Migration Factory (CMF) for replicating servers and storage gateway.Experience with AWS migration tools such as AWS DataSync, AWS Migration Hub, AWS Server Migration Service (SMS).Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and strategies for migrating on-premises and Azure environments to AWS.Work location: ChennaiShift Hours: 2.00pm to 11.00pm IST
