Overview :

As an EKS Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing the Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) infrastructure to support the development, deployment, and scaling of applications within our organization. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure the seamless integration of EKS with our DevOps processes and tools.

Key responsibilities :

- Designing and implementing EKS clusters to support microservices-based applications

- Developing and maintaining infrastructure as code for EKS using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

- Managing and optimizing EKS infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency

- Integrating EKS with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and scaling of applications

- Ensuring security and compliance of EKS clusters, including implementing IAM roles and network policies

- Providing support and troubleshooting assistance for EKS-related issues

- Collaborating with development teams to facilitate the adoption of EKS best practices

- Monitoring EKS clusters and implementing proactive measures for system health and performance

- Documenting EKS architecture, processes, and best practices

- Participating in the evaluation and adoption of new EKS features and updates

Required qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing EKS clusters in a production environment

- Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts and architecture

- Proficiency in AWS services, particularly EC2, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch

- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab

- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices

- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize EKS performance and resource utilization

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams

- Relevant AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, a plus
