Developers at Ather help drive technology. We are looking for a person who will help us build our EV’s smart applications. You will function as part of a team effort to design, develop, code, test and debug new complex software or significant enhancements to existing complex software. Perform Peer review of input for documentation of new or existing software. Apply existing and introduce new and approved technologies to develop solutions. It's a fun and unique opportunity to be in the forefront of the emerging EV industry.In this role, you will be working on the Ather Mobile App(Android), which is the face of the organization. Ather is a rapidly growing, constantly improving organization. We are making a splash in the software industry by spearheading the connected EV platform. We are looking for people to help build our Bikes, our Charging Infrastructure and our connected experience.

What you’ll do at Ather:Design, build and maintain high performance Applications in Native Android(Kotlin/Java).Improve existing functionality while building POCs for future systems.Work Closely with Product Managers, Cloud and Backend teams for implementing new features and solutioning architecture for future products.Working with program team to ensure planning is accurate and provides high predictabilityManage the release cycles for the assigned modules and prioritizing the different development activities

Here’s what we’re looking for:Strong and up-to-date knowledge of Android SDKStrong knowledge of Android design principles, patterns, and best practices.Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasksFamiliarity with Real Time Databases like DynamoDB and FirebaseFamiliarity with cloud message APIs and push notificationsUnderstanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelinesProficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git’A curious and innate willingness to explore Android’s APIs’ inner workings.
