Job Title : Staff Software Engineer Location : Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore Business & Team : Join our innovative Software Engineering team within the Technology division at CommBank. Our team is dedicated to developing and optimizing cutting-edge applications that drive the bank's digital transformation. We work collaboratively with various stakeholders to deliver solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Impact & Contribution : As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be a key leader in designing and implementing full stack solutions that leverage cloud technologies, CI/CD practices, and data insights. Your role will involve creating proof-of-concept (POC) solutions and demonstrating them to a wider audience. You will also mentor individuals and groups, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation with emerging tech stacks. Additionally, you will use factual data to negotiate and make informed recommendations on data points. As the Risk Champion, you will ensure that risk management practices are integrated into all aspects of software development. Roles & Responsibilities : · Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using modern technologies and frameworks. · Implement cloud-based solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. · Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes. · Design and implement scalable and secure software architectures that meet business requirements. · Create and demonstrate proof-of-concept (POC) solutions to stakeholders and the wider audience. · Utilize data insights to inform solution design and optimize application performance. · Mentor and guide individuals and groups in adopting and mastering emerging tech stacks. · Use factual data to negotiate and make informed recommendations on data points. · Act as the Risk Champion, promoting risk awareness and ensuring compliance with risk management policies. · Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in software engineering. Essential Skills : . Minimum 12 years of experience. · Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, .Net or Java. · Extensive experience of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) · Deep understanding in designing and building data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or similar technologies. · Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data governance principles. · Proven ability to lead complex data engineering projects and deliver high-quality solutions. · Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. · Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Education Qualification : Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
