As Pidilite continues to expand its digital and technological capabilities, it seeks a dynamic Chief of Digital Supply Chain to lead the digital transformation of its supply chain operations. Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader to spearhead Pidilite’s digital supply chain initiatives. Reporting to the CIDO, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and driving digital transformation across planning, logistics, and manufacturing operations. You will leverage your expertise in Industry 4.0, IoT, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and advanced supply chain applications to enhance efficiency, improve visibility, and build a resilient, agile, and data-driven supply chain. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to implement and sustain cutting-edge digital solutions that align with Pidilite's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital supply chain strategy that incorporates AI and aligns with the company's overall business goals. Act as a key advisor to the CIDO and executive leadership on emerging trends in supply chain technology, including AI, Industry 4.0, IoT, and advanced analytics. Identify and prioritize digital initiatives for planning, manufacturing, and logistics to drive operational excellence, cost savings, and competitive advantage. Digital Supply Chain Implementation: Lead the implementation of advanced planning applications such as SAP IBP or o9 to optimize forecasting, inventory management, and supply planning. Drive advanced production planning and detailed scheduling through solutions like SAP PPDS to enhance manufacturing agility and resource utilization. Oversee the deployment of modern Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS) to streamline logistics and distribution operations. Champion the adoption of Industry 4.0 principles and IoT solutions within manufacturing to create smart factories, enabling real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and enhanced production efficiency. AI in Supply Chain Initiatives: Lead the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to enhance demand forecasting accuracy, optimize inventory levels, and enable dynamic procurement strategies. Develop and deploy AI-driven solutions for logistics, such as route optimization and predictive shipment tracking, to improve delivery times and reduce costs. Utilize AI for predictive quality control and yield optimization in manufacturing processes. Operational Excellence and Innovation: Drive process innovation across the supply chain by leveraging digital technologies to automate manual tasks and improve decision-making. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of digital supply chain initiatives and ensure a strong return on investment. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the exploration and adoption of new technologies to solve complex supply chain challenges. Project and Solution Management: Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital supply chain projects, from concept and vendor selection to implementation and post-launch support. Ensure that all digital supply chain solutions are scalable, secure, and seamlessly integrated with Pidilite’s existing enterprise systems, including SAP. Manage the lifecycle of supply chain applications, ensuring they are optimized, maintained, and aligned with evolving business needs. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including leaders in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, and IT. Collaborate with business units to understand their challenges and co-create digital solutions that deliver tangible business value. Partner with external vendors, technology partners, and industry experts to bring best-in-class solutions and practices to Pidilite. People Management: Build and lead a high-performing team of digital supply chain specialists, project managers, and data analysts. Mentor and develop team members, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in a digital-first environment. Promote a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on delivering results and driving transformation. Key Skills and Experience: Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain functions (planning, logistics, manufacturing). Strong understanding and practical experience with Industry 4.0 concepts and IoT applications in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with modern supply chain planning applications (e.g., SAP IBP, o9), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), and production planning tools like SAP PPDS. Demonstrated experience in applying AI and Machine Learning concepts to solve supply chain problems, such as demand forecasting, network optimization, or predictive analytics. Familiarity with data science principles and the skills required to lead AI/ML projects, including an understanding of algorithms, data modeling, and validation. Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technology solutions. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. Experience in managing and leading teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the consumer goods, chemicals, or manufacturing industry is highly preferred. Experience with cloud-based supply chain platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and data analytics tools. Knowledge of the SDLC and experience working with development and infrastructure teams to implement digital solutions. Why Pidilite?
