Love Mercy Foundation (LMF) exists to see Uganda transformed out of poverty through greater access to healthcare, clean water, food security and income generation for entire communities. Our programs empower local communities to find innovative, sustainable solutions to rebuild lives and livelihoods following decades of civil conflict. We’re seeking a dynamic, values-driven CEO to lead Love Mercy Foundation into its next chapter of growth and impact. About the role As CEO, you’ll work closely with our Board and Executive Director/Founder to deliver the organisation’s strategic vision, strengthen partnerships and drive sustainable fundraising and program impact. This is a hands-on leadership role with oversight of LMF’s financial health, fundraising strategy, strategic partnerships, team culture and program outcomes across Australia and Uganda. You’ll be the key connector between donors, partners and our in-country team, championing LMF’s mission and amplifying the powerful stories of transformation made possible by our community. Your impact will include: Driving growth and sustainability  through strategic planning, fundraising and partnership development. Building strong donor and partner relationships  including strategic partners, major donors, philanthropic networks and grant funders. Overseeing impactful programs in Uganda  ensuring excellence in delivery, monitoring and evaluation. Leading a passionate and capable team  in Australia and supporting our Ugandan partners in achieving shared goals. Ensuring sound financial management  as well as compliance in line with ACNC, ACFID and DFAT standards. Championing the LMF brand and story  inspiring engagement across our community and networks. About you You’re a confident, compassionate and entrepreneurial leader who thrives in purpose-led environments. You combine strategic vision with hands-on delivery and have the relational and commercial acumen to grow an organisation’s reach and impact. We are open to candidates coming from a variety of leadership roles, including partnerships, fundraising, program management and broader leadership positions. You will be collaborative and inclusive in your style and demonstrate an ability to be a story-teller and ambassador of the Love Mercy Foundation journey and impact. This role requires confident communication and an ability to communicate cross-culturally. You will continue to grow our reputation as a sector leader in social impact measurement and reporting, and will have the ultimate responsibility for empowering our local team for success. You will demonstrate and value the qualities of integrity, compassion, equality. You will feel a deep connection to our cause which will fuel your passion for the role You bring: Leadership experience within the not-for-profit and/or international development sector (or comparable environment). Proven success in building and nurturing strategic partnerships and donor relationships. Strong financial management and fundraising experience. The ability to inspire, motivate and develop teams across cultures. High emotional intelligence, authenticity, and a deep respect for collaboration and cultural humility. A passion for community-led development and a belief in the power of local solutions. Experience with DFAT accreditation will be highly regarded. Why join us?
