Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Python/Odoo Developer located in Kollam. The developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs, along with customizing and extending Odoo ERP modules. The role also involves contributing significantly to AI/ML-driven applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, integrating AI/ML models into production, and ensuring software quality, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using Python.
  • Customize, extend, and implement ERP modules (Sales, Inventory, Purchase, Accounting, CRM, etc.).
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs for web and mobile integrations.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for efficient data handling.
  • Collaborate with frontend (Angular) and mobile teams for seamless integration.
  • Contribute to AI/ML projects including data preprocessing, model development, and deployment.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and security of applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and optimization.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Python development.
  • Strong backend development skills with frameworks such as Django, Angular, FastAPI, or Odoo.
  • Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP development (custom module development, configuration, workflows, and integration).
  • Proficiency in working with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Strong knowledge of data handling libraries (NumPy, Pandas).
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Experience with NLP, Computer Vision, or Recommendation Systems.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and MLOps.
  • Cloud deployment experience (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Familiarity with unit testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of performance profiling and optimization tools.
  • Frontend knowledge of Angular/PyQt is an added advantage.
