Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software requirements, extensive knowledge of SQL, and a deep understanding of capital markets. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and translating business requirements into technical specifications, gathering and documenting software requirements, and providing critical insights and analysis for our capital market initiatives.


Overall Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and data requirements.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and reports to extract and analyze data.
  • Provide support for capital market projects, including data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Category-wise Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with software requirements gathering, documentation, and management.
  • Understanding of capital market systems, financial instruments, and market data analysis.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with database management and ETL processes.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial industry, with a focus on capital markets.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful software requirements and data analysis projects.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Eliciting and documenting software requirements from stakeholders.
  • Creating and executing SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
  • Collaborating with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
  • Participating in meetings to discuss project status, issues, and potential solutions.
  • Providing regular updates and reports on project progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in business analysis, SQL, or capital markets (e.g., CBAP, Microsoft SQL, CFA) are a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
