Description
:We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Tier 1 Support Specialist to join our Alerts and Monitoring team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, SQL Sentry, and AWS CloudWatch. This role involves the initial response to alerts and incidents, basic troubleshooting, and escalating issues as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of our AWS-hosted environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Alert Monitoring and Initial Response:
Monitor alerts from SolarWinds, SQL Sentry, and AWS CloudWatch. Respond promptly to alerts and incidents, performing initial analysis and troubleshooting. Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2 support as needed.Basic Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve common issues related to system performance and availability. Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference. Assist in the maintenance of monitoring configurations.Incident Management:
Log and track incidents in the incident management system. Provide timely updates to stakeholders on the status of incidents. Follow incident management procedures and ensure accurate documentation.Communication and Reporting:
Communicate effectively with team members and other IT staff. Generate basic reports on monitoring activities and incidents. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in IT support or monitoring roles. Basic knowledge of SolarWinds, SQL Sentry, and AWS CloudWatch. Knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce. Understanding of AWS infrastructure and services. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other monitoring tools and technologies. Familiarity with ITIL or other incident management frameworks.
