Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Bio Petro Clean India Pvt. Ltd. The role involves overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment used in our effluent treatment plants (ETPs), wastewater treatment facilities, and allied projects. The engineer will ensure smooth plant operations, adherence to safety standards, and execution of mechanical works as per company and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, supervise, and execute mechanical work related to ETPs, STPs, and other treatment systems.
  • Carry out installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of pumps, blowers, compressors, agitators, pipelines, pipelines supports, valves, instruments, cable tray, foundation of various equipment and related equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify wear, damage, or performance issues and take corrective action.
  • Ensure equipment uptime, energy efficiency, and cost-effective operation.
  • Support project execution by reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams for timely execution.
  • Maintain records of breakdowns, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Implement safety procedures and ensure compliance with statutory and company guidelines.
  • Provide technical support to site teams and assist in troubleshooting mechanical failures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in wastewater/ETP/STP/industrial plant operations.
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, blowers, piping systems, rotating equipment, and mechanical utilities.
  • Knowledge of Piping standards (ASME, ANSI etc) & codes.
  • Knowledge of various types of welding procedures for metal & non-metal materials.
  • Ability to do Hydo test for pipes and equipment.
  • Ability to do inspection of equipment & piping as per QAP.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel and work at project sites as per company requirements.
