Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. FOAA is seeking a Finance Analyst to support our India Business Team.
The Financial Analyst will partner with Amazon Pay India Private Ltd (APIPL) and Amazon Seller Services Private Ltd (ASSPL) along with FOAA Accounting Finance teams (based in India) to support in daily finance operations and payments to customers / sellers for India marketplaces. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced business at Amazon. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in cross-functional teams, and demonstrate strong leadership skills.

•Manage day to day operations of Nodal, Escrow and Payment Aggregator accounts for Amazon Pay and Amazon India Marketplace.
•Perform daily, weekly, monthly operational reconciliations for Payment Aggregator (PA) Escrow and Prepaid Instruments (PPI) Escrow.
•Prepares and reviews complex account reconciliations, financial analyses, and deliverables.
•Work independently to support BAU operations for Amazon India Private Limited and Amazon Seller Services Private Limited businesses.
•Perform daily reconciliation of order wise Sale, Refund transactions along with identification, deep dive, escalation and closure of exceptions by partnering with various world-wide business partners.
•Ensure KPIs are met 100% as per business expectations.
•Design and implement necessary controls to address SOX, operational risk and ensure ongoing testing of these controls.
•Lead internal, external and regulatory audits of these accounts governed by Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
•Advise business teams in launch of new products and capabilities w.r.t potential impact on these accounts.
•Closely work with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate representation in entity accounts and ensure timely month end close activities.
•Drive continuous improvement and automations to reduce manual touch points and mitigate business risks.
•The successful candidate will have a strong desire in innovating processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of our customers and sellers.
•Coordinate with the multiple internal and external business partners to establish and maintain strong communication channels.
•Provide inputs for weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews in a timely manner. Facilitate the business reviews with data analysis and follow through with business leaders on actionable items for improving business metrics over a period of time.
•Build and monitor performance metrics, with principal focus on ensuring timely delivery of reports, reconciliations and other deliverables.
Key job responsibilities
•Experience using multiple data-sets to influence business decisions
•CA with 0-4yrs of experience.
•Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
•Experience in finance operations, analytical reporting and timely resolution of issues
•Good Communication skills
•Good Articulation skills
•Well versed with MS Excel
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- 0-4years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Knowledge of Six Sigma defect reduction techniques (Lean, etc.)
- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
