In 2019, Inventure Academy and Whitefield Ready signed the MoU with the Department of Public Instruction to adopt the Government Higher Primary School, Ramagondanahalli. The partnership aimed to improve the quality of education at RGH over five years and create a sustainable model of public-private partnership.

The school has grown from less than 200 students to over 1000 students, with a waitlist of over 300 students for the academic year 2025-26. Our first batch of SSLC students achieved excellent results, and an ASER assessment showed our student learning outcomes were ahead of state averages.

Scaling the Model: Inspired by the success of the model at RGH, Inventure Academy and Prestige Group partnered to sign an MoU with the DSE to adopt three more government schools as Inventure Community Schools in Bengaluru and replicate the PPP model.

The opportunity:

A unique opportunity to create high-quality English medium classrooms in Government Schools and help children adapt quickly to a new medium of learning at various grade levels.

The role:

As a teacher at the school, you will be directly responsible for at least 30 children in a class. Your role will be to guide students towards academic achievement while inculcating core values aligned to the School Vision. You will create a safe environment of high achievement coupled with fun learning in the classrooms.

You will:

  • Teach multiple subjects as a Primary School teacher
  • Use varying teaching strategies and styles to meet different learning needs
  • Provide a positive environment to engage students in the learning process
  • Partner in creating high-quality Accelerated Learning curriculum for children who are first-generation learners
  • Design and execute Unit Plans, Lesson plans that will engage students
  • Design assessments that thoughtfully evaluate student progress
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, community, and the school team
  • Attend and participate in all school trainings and meetings
  • Make community visits to stay connected with parents

The challenge:

  • Children may have little or no exposure to the English Language, and some might have had no formal schooling before entering your classroom.
  • Children come from difficult backgrounds and face abuse and neglect at home. This can result in behavioral issues at school. Teachers are expected to work closely with parents to address these problems.
  • The English medium classrooms will be run independently by this team, within the Government policies and framework that impose certain constraints.
  • Teachers are encouraged to bring in innovative approaches in curriculum design and implementation to make learning fun and engaging for our students.
  • You must be willing to spend extra hours after school to help children who need additional support.

The Support

You will be provided with the following support:

  • Additional classroom resources to enable efficient transaction of lessons
  • Intensive and ongoing teacher training as part of Inventure's Professional Development program
  • Curriculum design support and reviews
  • Access to Inventure Academy's teaching and Learning Materials that can be adopted for these classrooms as needed
  • Class observation and feedback sessions for teachers to help improve effectiveness in teaching
  • Mentoring and guidance by senior teachers of Inventure Academy & our Curriculum Manager
  • Support for student families during the pandemic, including devices for children to enable access
  • Collaboration with other NGOs to bring programs Beyond Academics for these children
  • Guidance and mentoring for teachers to manage student behavior-related issues.
  • Counselling sessions for students and parents on a need basis.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Working Knowledge of Hindi/Kannada will be most useful
  • Ability to work with the team and willingness to support other team members as required

Education:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate from any stream with a Diploma in Elementary Education /Bachelor in Education/Masters in Education
  • For those with prior teaching experience, the Diploma/Degrees in Education can be waived off
