Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and executing performance testing initiatives across various projects and platforms. The Senior Performance Tester will collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and project managers to ensure the performance objectives are met and that applications and systems can scale effectively under various load conditions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Testing: Plan, design, execute, and analyze performance tests to assess the performance, scalability, and reliability of applications and systems.
  • Test Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive performance test strategies and test plans based on project requirements and objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement and utilize performance monitoring tools to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze performance test results, identify performance issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, architects, and project managers to understand performance requirements and ensure that performance objectives are achieved.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain performance test scripts and automation frameworks to streamline the performance testing process.
  • Documentation: Document performance test results, findings, and recommendations in clear and concise reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in performance testing and make recommendations for process improvements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
  • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
  • Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Performance testing certifications such as Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) or Certified Performance Testing Professional (CPTP).
  • Experience with cloud-based performance testing using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI.
