Cyber Security Analyst

About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. You will play a critical role in defending our organization from cyberattacks by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security controls, and monitoring for suspicious activity.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses in our systems and networks.
- Analyze security logs and events to detect and respond to potential cyber threats.
- Implement and maintain security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access controls.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure the overall security posture of the organization.
- Educate and train employees on cybersecurity best practices.
- Incident response and participate in recovery efforts after a security breach.
Qualifications :
- Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in cyber security analysis or a related field.
- Strong understanding of cyber security concepts, including network security, application security, and incident response.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies, such as vulnerability scanners, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A Security+ certification or equivalent is a plus.
