Purpose Of Job:

The Celonis Engineer drives the technical implementation and provide ongoing technical support of process mining solutions in Celonis.

In this in house role you will implement the newest features and functionalities of the Celonis software to create value for the business stakeholders.

You will collaborate with IT, global process owners and other business stakeholders to translate business requirements into process mining solutions in Celonis.

The Celonis Engineer reports directly to the Solution Architect Celonis (located in Amsterdam, NL)

About the job (Job Responsibilities

  • Works with Solution Architect and Global Process Owners to translate business requirements and use cases into technical and data requirements
  • Identifies all the source system tables and fields that need to be brought into Celonis
  • Extracts, transforms and loads all source system data needed for each process implemented within Celonis
  • Builds the Celonis data model for each process
  • Develops analyses to support the business with data-driven process insights and actions.
  • Collaborates with relevant business experts to validate the data within Celonis
  • Monitors and optimizes the performance of all data queries to ensure ideal response times
  • Documents all technical and data requirements and all extract, transform, load (ETL) work
  • Provides ongoing support for any data-related issues
  • Supports business stakeholders to uncover process inefficiencies and understand root causes
  • Supports business users with on any ad hoc queries on Celonis solutions.


We believe you bring (Education & Experience)

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in building Celonis process mining solutions.
  • Proficient with SQL, PQL and preferable Python
  • Extensive experience in ETL processes with multiple different source systems
  • Strong experience with relational databases, data modeling and data warehousing
  • Extensive experience in building analysis and views in Celonis
  • Experience in end to end building process mining solutions (from extraction to reporting)
  • Solid understanding of the data structures of core enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM)
  • SAP functional knowledge in different modules include FICO, MM, SD…etc.
  • Ability to analyze, design and implement process mining solutions, both from system perspective as organizational perspective
  • Enjoy interacting with various business stakeholders to understand and interpret business processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and known for being a quick learner
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders with different culture backgrounds in different locations.
  • Successfully completed your studies in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information-oriented Business Administration/ Economics, Mathematics or a comparable degree program
  • Celonis certified preferred
