Job Scope:Responsible for creating, monitoring and maintaining various databases - MySQL, Postgres,MongoDB, Oracle, ClickHouse etc.Automating routine Database Administration, monitoring and alerting activities using shellscripting, python, perl etc.Providing requested data to Internal and external team using SQL or other tools.Supporting periodic Data Governance audits, compliance measures etc.Job Responsibilities:Ensure optimal health, integrity, performance, and security of all databases.Develop and maintain data categorization and security standards.Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and management tools; optimizeexisting and future technology investments to maximize returns.Provide day-to-day support to internal IT support groups, external partners, and customersas required.Manage outsourced database administration services to perform basic monitoring andadministrative-level tasks as directed.Participate in change and problem management activities, root cause analysis, anddevelopment of knowledge articles to support the organizations program.Support application testing and production operations. Serve as database administration.Document, monitor, test, and adjust backup and recovery procedures to ensure importantdata is available in a disasterServe as on-call database administrator on a rotating basis.Develop, Implement, and Maintain MySQL, PostgreSQL , Mongo and Oracle Instancesincluding scripts for monitoring and maintenance of individual databases.Diligently teaming with the infrastructure, network, database, application and businessintelligence teams to guarantee high data quality and availabilityCollaborating with various teams to install Database software updates, patches, versionupgrades when required.Performance tuning of Databases, SQL Query tuningKnowledge of schedulers like Cron, or any other new generation schedulers like ApacheAirflowProvide subject matter expertise to internal and external project teams, applicationsdevelopers, and others as needed. Support application testing and production operations.Serve as database administration.Serve as on-call database administrator on a rotating basis.Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of Hadoop infrastructure

Qualification and Experience

B.E./B.Tech/MCA6-8 years of experience in managing enterprise databasesKnowledge and SkillsOracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Clickhouse DB & knowledge on NoSQL like Mongo DB & Redis etc.,Installing MySQL, PostgreSQL, Clickhouse DB & Mongo DB.Backup and Recovering Oracle, MySQL, Mongo DB, Clickhouse DB, and PostgreSQL databases.User level Access: Risks & Threats.Synchronous and Asynchronous replication, converged systems, partitioning, and storage-as-a-service (cloud technologies)Linux operating systems, including shell scriptingWindows Server operating systemIndustry-leading database monitoring tools and platformsData integration techniques, platforms, and toolsModern database backup technologies and strategies
