Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced EHR Integration Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems with various healthcare applications, ensuring interoperability and data accuracy. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare data standards and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Development:

  • Design, develop, and implement EHR integration solutions using HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare data standards.
  • Configure and customize integration engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf).
  • Develop and maintain interface specifications and documentation.

Project Management:

  • Manage integration projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and meeting client requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather requirements and define project scope.

Client Collaboration:

  • Work closely with healthcare providers to understand their workflows and integration needs.
  • Provide training and support to clients on integration processes and tools.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in EHR integration and interoperability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization of integration solutions.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in EHR integration or healthcare IT.
  • Proven experience with HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare data standards.
  • Hands-on experience with integration engines such as Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with various EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Meditech).

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of healthcare data exchange protocols and standards.
  • Proficient in scripting and programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, SQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • HL7 Certification
  • FHIR Certification
  • Certified Interface Developer (CID)
