We believe that accurate, accessible data is the bedrock of strategic success, and this role is central to that vision.The OpportunityWe are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director, Data & Analytics to lead the evolution of our business intelligence function. This pivotal role owns the entire lifecycle of our internal data analytics and electronic dashboards—from day-to-day operational integrity to long-term strategic vision.You will be the central point of ownership for how the company visualises and interprets its performance and operational data. The ideal candidate is a hybrid leader with a strong background in both finance and technology , capable of understanding complex financial metrics and translating them into robust, scalable technical solutions. You will report to the Director of Architecture and Engineering and work cross-functionally to ensure our data services are a competitive advantage, aligning perfectly with our ambitious growth targets.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & VisionDevelop and Execute Strategy: Define and implement a comprehensive strategy for data analytics and business intelligence that aligns with corporate goals and is able to unlock new insights and drive business value using machine learning and artificial intelligence where applicable.Dashboard Innovation: Lead the conceptualisation, design, and development of new, insightful electronic dashboards for executive leadership, finance, sales, and operations.Roadmap Ownership: Create and manage the product roadmap for all BI and analytics tools, prioritising initiatives based on business impact and stakeholder requirements.Enhance Services: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing data services, improving accuracy, user experience, and the depth of insights provided.Operational Excellence & ManagementDashboard Ownership: Assume full ownership of the day-to-day management of all existing dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, uptime, and performance.Data Integrity: Act as the ultimate guardian of data quality and consistency within our BI environment. Implement processes to monitor and maintain data integrity from source to visualisation.Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with department heads—particularly in Finance—to understand their analytical needs, gather requirements, and deliver effective data solutions.Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor key business KPIs through the dashboards, providing proactive insights and flagging anomalies or trends to leadership.Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of data analysts and BI developers (as the team grows), fostering a culture of precision, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Ensuring appropriate sizing and recruitment within the data analytics team, ensuring we have the right structure and capability to match with the company’s growth targets.The Ideal CandidateRequired Qualifications & Experience:Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management capacity.Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of corporate finance principles, including financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet), forecasting, budgeting, and key SaaS/business metrics (e.g., MRR, ARR, Churn, LTV, CAC).Technical Expertise:Expert-level proficiency with at least one major BI platform ( Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).Advanced SQL skills for complex querying, data manipulation, and performance tuning.Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and architectures (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).Experience working with ETL/ELT pipelines and data modeling.Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building and managing a suite of business intelligence tools with data warehouses or data lakes capabilities from the ground up in a high-growth environment.Preferred Skills:Advanced Degree: Master's degree (MBA, MSc in Finance or Data Science) is highly desirable.Programming Skills: Familiarity with a scripting language like Python (with Pandas, NumPy) for data analysis and automation.Cloud Experience: Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
