Key Deliverables in this role

Financial Outcomes

  • Revenue Growth: Achieve annual revenue targets through effective supply planning leading to improved OTIF & fill rates. Effective stock planning for ensuring high stock availability
  • Cost Reduction: Enable cost-saving measures in supply chain operations through effective inventory management & monitoring of inventory freshness & SLOB.
  • Profitability Enhancement: Operate on set inventory norms and work on optimization for improved working capital performance. Reduction in expiry to improve profitability of the organization.


Customer Service

  • Drive customer service metrics -Improve OTIF & fill rates and review open order positions.
  • Promos, NPD & transitions management: Timely delivery
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, Shopper marketing, Customer Service and distribution team to capture voice of customer
  • Order Fulfillment: Ensure consistent stock availability to meet OTIF & Case Fill metrics performance


Internal Processes

  • Responsible for Production Planning, Multi-modal Dispatch Planning & Material planning
  • Develop factory-wise production plans & dispatch plans to meet desired stock availability levels
  • Track plan achievement for factories & devise mitigation plans for short term supply issues
  • Assess constraints on supply such as short-term capacity issues, packaging material and raw material & plan actions with cross function teams
  • Support on strategic projects: Inventory Optimization, network study & long-term supply planning
  • To look for Digitization opportunities towards continuous improvements


Innovation and Learning

  • Develop supply contingency plans to meet supply/demand variabilities
  • Business management & Leadership skills: Develop strong business acumen and demonstrate leadership skills
  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and updating ways of working, methodologies and tools, Conduct root cause analysis for deviations


Critical success factors for the Role

  • Qualification: BE / BTECH-Graduate & MBA – Operations
  • Experience: 5-6 years’ experience in supply planning in FMCG


Desirable success factors for the Role

  • Knowledge of Supply chain planning process & practices
  • High proficiency in data handling, MS-Excel & SAP
  • Ability to work in unstructured environment and manage changes
  • Prior experience of working on Planning system (like BY, O9, Kinaxis, SAP-APO) preferred
  • Ability to work well in cross functional teams & effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and solutioning mindset.
