We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.


Job Description


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain data models, data flow diagrams, and other documentation to support the organization's data architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements, and translate them into data architecture solutions.
  • Design and implement data storage solutions using Amazon S3, DynamoDB, and RDS, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using AWS services like AWS Lambda, Apache Spark, and Python.
  • Design and implement data security measures, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Optimize data processing and storage costs by identifying and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Continuously stay up-to-date with AWS service updates and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and other team members on AWS data services and best practices.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of new data engineering tools and technologies.


Requirements:


  • Experience in data engineering, with a focus on AWS services.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services such as Amazon Kinesis, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.
  • Familiarity with data processing tools like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Pig.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data quality principles.
  • Experience with data security and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members on data architecture principles and best practices.
