Job Description:

Grinntech is a dynamic and innovative full stack lithium battery tech startup committed to power up the electrification of Indian and Global mobility. As part of our ambitious growth plans, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for ensuring the smooth operation, upkeep, and repair of all machinery, equipment, and utilities in the Lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and improving equipment efficiency to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all manufacturing equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues to ensure minimal downtime and uninterrupted production.
  • Equipment Calibration & Optimization: Ensure all production equipment is calibrated and optimized for maximum efficiency and longevity.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Spare Parts Management: Monitor and manage inventory of critical spare parts, ensuring availability while optimizing costs.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to workplace safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with equipment manufacturers and service providers for maintenance contracts, spare parts procurement, and technical support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance roles, preferably in a battery manufacturing, electronics, or chemical processing industry.
  • Valid 'B' or 'C' License for Electrical Work is Mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with maintenance of manufacturing equipment such as mixers, coating machines, drying ovens, formation & testing equipment, and BMS systems.
  • Familiarity with safety standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001 guidelines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency maintenance situations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
