The DAV Group - Chennai , functioning under the aegis of Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society was established in 1970 at Gopalapuram in Chennai with just 50 students. The Group today, caters to over 40,000 students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It has a staff of 1500 plus which includes 1,200 teachers. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 15 schools in the country.

In addition to K-12 schooling, DAV has recently ventured into Higher Education with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science at Kelambakkam, Chennai.

In this context, we would be interested in recruiting suitable candidates for the position of Career Counsellor in chennai.

Job Description

As a Student Career Counsellor, you will provide guidance and support to students in exploring career options, making educational decisions, and preparing for the job market. You will work closely with students to help them understand their strengths, interests, and goals, and assist them in developing strategies for academic and career success.

Requisites


• Open to male or female candidates.


• Bachelor's Degree: Required in Counselling, Psychology, Education, Human Resources, Social Work, or a

related field.


• Master's Degree: Preferred or sometimes required, especially in Counselling, Higher Education, Career Counselling, or a related field. A Master's degree enhances expertise and may be necessary for licensure or certification.


• Willingness to travel is required.


• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a school such as schools, colleges, or universities, is

advantageous


• Excellent communication skills.


• Counseling Experience: Previous experience in career counselling, academic advising, or a related field is highly valued. Experience working with students or young adults is particularly beneficial.

Salary shall commensurate with experience, as applicable
