Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Controller to lead and oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in financial management, strategic planning, and leadership. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, effective budget management, and alignment of financial strategies with the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and drive business performance.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
Collaborate with other departments to align budget plans with company objectives.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the development of long-term financial strategies and business plans.
Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend strategies for risk mitigation.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.
Financial Controls & Compliance:
Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Manage the recruitment, training, and development of finance staff.
Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Stakeholder Management:
Liaise with senior management, investors, and other stakeholders on financial matters.
Prepare financial reports and presentations for executive meetings and board reviews.
Build and maintain relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, or CA is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Skills:
Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
