Lead automation engineer

Key Responsibilities:Design and Develop Internal Tools leveraging Gen AI to aid QA tasksDesign tools for testing Gen AI-powered product featuresDefine and implement a test framework for Backed and UICollaborate with development, testing, and product owners’ teams to understand project goals & define test automation solutionsMonitor and analyse test automation metrics, track test coverage, and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.Continuously assess and improve the test automation framework, processes, and tools to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.Follow best practices for coding, and conduct peer reviews for the automation framework or scriptsEstablish and maintain test data and test environment management processes to support test automation activities.Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in test automation, Gen AI, CI/CD practices, containerization, and testing methodologies.Key Skills:Hands-on SDET lead with expertise in delivering i OS appsWill lead end-to-end delivery of one or more products and will be responsible for their quality ( functional & non-functional)Will drive the test automation strategy defined and drive towards 100% automation for regression suitesWill work closely with Product and Program teams, along with engineering teams, to understand Requirements and develop test strategy and plansWill lead a team of SDET ( 3-4) and will own the "go-live" decisionsWill author and review test cases and drive review by other stakeholdersWill deploy best practices for test estimation and executionWill review testing progress and the quality of the test deliverables of the teamAttend daily scrums and track QA progress for the projects, and give consolidated updates to all stakeholdersProactively implement testing strategies to improve efficiency and better time to marketConduct code reviews, provide guidance, and mentor team membersEstablish and maintain test data and test environment management processes to support efficient test activities.Monitor and analyze test automation metrics, track test coverage, and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in test automation and CI/CD practices.Common skills:Must have prior experience working as an SDET for 5-7 yearsShould have led the team of SDETs ( 3-4 ) to deliver successful productsProficient in Java as a programming language, developing and maintaining test automation scripts.Should have used tools like Charles Proxy, Browser Stack, Lambda Test, PCloudy, Headspin, etcShould have exposure to Test NG, Maven, Jenkins, and EclipseShould have worked with SQL / No SQL databasesShould have used tools to mock data to aid testingDeep understanding of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills & the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.Proactive mindset, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and integrating test automation suites into the CI/CD pipeline is an added advantageHaving a POV on Gen AI-based QA methodologies will be an added advantageMobile Apps:Hands-on testing expertise in testing Native and Hybrid i OS Mobile AppsShould have exposure to performance testing of apps using any of the tools availableShould have worked with automation frameworks for mobile automation - Appium or equivalentEducational Qualification:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field with 5-7 years of total exp.
