Manager - CLS Job Level: A1Function: NSG/ING/CLSLocation : Mumbai / ChennaiReporting to : Mgr - CLSDate : Purpose of the JobTo carry out day-to-day job activities pertaining to Operations and maintenance of Submarine cable system transmission equipment, Power feed Equipment and OFC land routesDeliverables (Maximum 5-6 key responsibilities)

Major Challenges :

  1. Maintenance of SDH and Submarine DWDM and Power feeding equipment at Landing station, Following Preventive maintenance schedules as per Network JSMD and their test records.
  2. Following Corrective maintenance process and maintaining MTTR, Optimum network availability. Interacting with ITMC for day-to-day circuit complaints handling.
  3. Ensuring and follow up of implementing the existing O&M processes and complying with them.
  4. Spares and Inventory maintenance of all LS transmission and power feeding equipments, land, power cables and associated jointing accessories.
  5. Routine Circuit testing and handing over to backhaul / ITMC. Upkeep and Maintenance of backhaul connectivity records network wise.
  6. Preventive inspections of LS to Beach manhole Land routes.
  7. Maintenance and upkeep of the entire landing test equipment and their calibration.
  8. Backhaul connectivity port and Fibre utilization records.

Decision levelPrime: Corrective and preventive maintenance of CLS equipment, land cable. Shared : with ITMC/NOC for

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
1. Should have good knowledge in SDH and DWDM
2. Knowledge of Submarine Cable systems
