Interior Designer | Yellow Tree Interiors Position: Interior Designer Experience: 1–3 years (candidates with more than 3 years may be considered if the budget allows) Location: Mahadevapura, Bangalore (On-site) Employment Type: Full-time Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM | Sunday Off About Yellow Tree Interiors Yellow Tree Interiors is a creative interior design studio based in Bangalore, known for delivering high-quality, thoughtful, and functional design solutions. We are seeking a motivated Interior Designer who can take ownership of projects and deliver exceptional results. Core Responsibilities Gather and define project requirements through effective client and team collaboration. Create mood boards and assist senior designers with design presentations. Develop 3D models using SketchUp and produce high-quality renders. Research and finalize materials, finishes, and products for each project. Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure design accuracy. Visit vendor showrooms to explore new products and maintain vendor relationships. Take full ownership and accountability for all assigned design activities. Lead and manage client meetings as well as internal design discussions effectively. Proactively drive all project activities while seeking support when necessary. Determine site visit requirements for non-premium projects and ensure attendance for premium ones. Manage time effectively to ensure timely completion of all deliverables. Submit all project deliverables on schedule to both clients and internal teams. Report project progress using Zoho Projects and communicate updates via WhatsApp as needed. Handle complete client management during the design phase and provide support beyond project completion. Collaborate with pre-sales, sales, and marketing teams for design inputs, content creation, and cost estimations. Ensure consistent and prompt communication with clients and team members regarding project status and updates. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture. 1–3 years of experience in interior design, preferably in residential or commercial projects. Proficiency in SketchUp, layout tools, and rendering software. Strong communication, presentation, and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and a strong design sensibility. You will fit best if you: Have 1–3 years of experience in residential or commercial interior design. Are proficient in SketchUp, layout tools, and rendering software. Understand materials, finishes, and modular design elements in depth. Are confident in client communication and comfortable leading meetings independently. Are proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Take initiative to solve design or technical problems independently. Have strong time management and organizational skills. Are collaborative and supportive toward team members, including new joiners. Are eager to learn, explore new design ideas, and contribute beyond design—such as marketing, R&D, and business development. Who Will Not Be Considered Candidates will not be considered if they: Lack prior experience or working knowledge of SketchUp and 2D design tools. Have limited hands-on experience in residential or commercial interior design projects. Are uncomfortable with client-facing roles or managing end-to-end project communication. Have poor understanding of materials, finishes, or vendor coordination. Demonstrate weak communication, follow-up, or time management skills. Are seeking only short-term or freelance opportunities rather than a full-time, on-site role. Interview Process Round 1: Initial screening to discuss your background and qualifications (on call). Round 2: Design software test at our office (2–3 hours). Attendance at the office is mandatory. Round 3: Final interview with the Business Head (in-person at our office). Note: This is a full-time, on-site position. Remote work is not available, as collaboration and direct interaction are essential to delivering the best design solutions.
