What you will do
Data & Simulation is one of the Functions in GTT Bangalore supporting Global process development in various areas,
IT support in terms of hardware and peripherals CAE application and storage supportWe are now looking for an Engineer having a strong base in Linux to support our CAE Teams across GTT in terms of administration of High-Performance Computing machines and storage management, more details are below.
Your focus will be securing operations and easy access to the CAE platform with hardware and infrastructure frameworks to enable “simulation-driven” product development.
To be successful in this position you need to have experience from IT-infrastructure setup such as storage, high-performance computing clusters, cloud and various interfaces for CAE tools and applications.
Job Description/ Responsibilities
Being an active member for a global support team for CAE and HPC Technical Support in cluster and single servers in Bangalore Queuing systems, License statistics, Linux servers, Systems Monitoring, Data policy Design, development, continuously refine and improve CAE platforms and systems CAE Storage planning and data management Technology evaluations (CPU types, memory configs, disks, networking technology etc.) Consolidate management functions, User Management General Technology watch Reporting to Data & Simulation Site Manager at Bangalore
Job Specification/ Qualification
Domain experience of 3 – 5 years Engineering degree within computer science Strong Linux/Unix CLI-fu, shell scripting experience Experience from the automotive industry Good understanding and working experience of CAE HPC approaches, industry standards and industry best practices for HPC, Parallel computing, Data Management, Distributed systems SW dev (MPI/OpenMP, CUDA). Knowledge of Python is a merit. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
