Job Description: Restaurant Captain

Overview: The Restaurant Captain is responsible for ensuring an exceptional dining experience for all guests. This role involves leading the service team, managing day-to-day restaurant operations, and acting as a primary point of contact for guests. The ideal candidate will be a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service:
  • Greet and seat guests, providing them with menus and special promotions.
  • Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to special requests or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a high standard of service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and train junior staff, including waiters and food runners.
  • Delegate tasks and manage workflow to ensure smooth and timely service.
  • Motivate and lead the team to maintain a positive and professional work environment.
  • Operational Duties:
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down the dining area.
  • Communication:
  • Act as a liaison between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Communicate guest feedback, issues, and special requests to the kitchen and management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain, Head Waiter, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage, including menu pairing and wine selection.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully.
  • A professional and polished appearance with a strong work ethic.
  • Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12, ₹15,000.00 per month
