Position Overview
As a Business Analyst for our Active leisure Ecommerce business, you would be responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and driving the performance of an online retail business. This role involves collecting and interpreting data across multiple platforms (Shopify, marketplaces, Google Analytics, Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.), identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to improve conversion, sales, and overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
· Collect, clean, and analyze ecommerce data from multiple sources (website, marketplaces, ad platforms, CRM, logistics partners).
· Track and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs such as revenue, AOV, ROAS, CAC, retention rate, cart abandonment, returns, RTO and product performance.
· Build and maintain dashboards and automated reports in Google Sheets, Excel, Power BI, or Looker Studio across shopify and other marketplaces.
· Identify fashion trends, top-performing categories, and slow-moving SKUs to guide merchandising decisions.
· Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
Business Performance Monitoring
· Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales and marketing performance.
· Identify revenue leakage points (RTO, cancellations, high returns, poor funnel conversions).
· Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional campaigns, product launches, and pricing strategies.
Customer & Market Insights
· Analyze customer journeys, repeat purchases, buying behavior, and churn patterns specific to fashion consumer.
· Provide insights on customer segmentation, retention, and lifetime value (LTV).
· Segment customers (first-time buyers, loyal buyers, high-value shoppers) and recommend personalized strategies.
· Benchmark performance against competitors and identify market trends.
Process Optimization
· Work with supply chain and operations teams to reduce return rates, exchanges, and RTOs common in fashion apparel.
· Suggest improvements in website UI/UX, checkout flow, product listings, and customer support. (filtering by size, color, fabric and fit)
· Identify and recommend automation opportunities (order tracking, reporting, inventory updates).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to optimize ad creatives, ad spend and campaign efficiency.
· Partner with operations and logistics teams to improve delivery timelines and reduce RTO.
· Work with product and merchandising teams to decide on pricing, bundling, and catalog planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Fahsion Management, or related field.
· 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Ecommerce, Fashion Retail, or D2C.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel/Google Sheets knowledge.
· Experience with Shopify, Unicommerce, Shiprocket, and market places portal.
· Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, etc.).
· Knowledge of digital marketing platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Klaviyo, etc.).
· Strong communication skills to present insights to both technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Skills
· SQL or Python for data querying and automation.
· Understanding of Unicommerce, Shiprocket, Nykaa, Myntra, Ajio, or other marketplace integrations.
· Experience in A/B testing, funnel optimization, and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization).
· Knowledge of ecommerce finance metrics (gross margin, contribution margin, unit economics).
Key Metrics of Success
· Improvement in ROAS, CAC vs LTV ratio, and marketing efficiency.
· Increased website conversion rates and reduced cart abandonment.
· Optimized product performance and reduced return/RTO percentages.
· Better inventory management aligned with fashion seasonality.
