Fashion General Manager

About the RoleFittora is India’s first luxury-tech fashion startup, blending AI-powered design with artisanal tailoring. We are seeking a highly capable Fashion General Manager to lead and oversee our production, sourcing, and technical integration functions. This role demands a balance of fashion industry expertise, financial acumen, and technology-driven mindset. You will ensure seamless coordination between garment production teams, sourcing networks, and Fittora’s tech division to deliver premium made-to-measure garments with efficiency and innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Financial Leadership- Manage budgets, cost planning, and resource allocation across production and sourcing.- Track profitability, cost efficiency, and financial performance of the atelier.- Provide leadership with actionable insights on scaling operations while controlling costs.Team & Operations Management- Lead garment technicians, pattern makers, seamstresses, and sourcing staff.- Define KPIs and performance benchmarks to improve efficiency and quality.- Foster a culture of precision, craftsmanship, and innovation within the team.Production & Sourcing Oversight- Oversee end-to-end garment production workflow, from AI-generated design specs to final construction.- Ensure timely sampling, fit approvals, and high-quality production output.- Build and maintain vendor networks with strong knowledge of fabric suppliers and trims in Punjab & Delhi-NCR.- Negotiate costs, MOQs, and lead times while maintaining luxury standards.- Conduct material audits, monitor inventory, and ensure compliance with sustainability practices.Technology & Innovation- Collaborate closely with Fittora’s tech team to integrate AI-driven solutions into production workflows.- Support the development of digital tools for spec packs, virtual fittings, and production tracking.- Act as the bridge between creative fashion teams and technology teams to ensure smooth execution.Business Operations & Reporting- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, vendor reliability, and financial outcomes.- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.- Contribute to strategic decision-making as part of the senior leadership team.Skills & Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in fashion/garment management with a strong focus on production and sourcing.- Proven ability to manage budgets, financial planning, and cost controls.- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and finishing techniques.- Extensive vendor management experience with deep area knowledge of suppliers and artisans in Punjab/North India.- Experience collaborating with tech/product teams to implement innovative solutions.- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.- Passion for blending fashion craftsmanship with technology-driven innovation.Why Join Fittora?- Pioneering Concept: Be part of India’s first luxury-tech fashion startup, merging AI with bespoke tailoring.- Leadership Role: Take charge of production, sourcing, budgets, and tech alignment.- Innovation & Craftsmanship: Work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and artisanal fashion.- Growth Potential: Play a pivotal role in scaling a fast-emerging luxury fashion brand.- Local Strength, Global Vision: Operate from Mohali with an ambition for global impact.- Culture of Excellence: Join a team driven by creativity, precision, and innovation.
