Role - Automation Test Engineer

Job description: As a test engineer for the #graph database NLP chatbot team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, identify and report defects, and contribute to continuously improving our testing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Objective: To automate as much of the testing process as possible to increase efficiency and consistency and ensure the overall quality of the product meets all functional and non-functional requirements, including scalability, performance, and usability.

Key Responsibilities:

·Develop and execute test cases and test scenarios to validate the functionality, performance, and security of the graph database and integrated #NLP chatbot.

·Ensure tests perform as planned and are integrated into the #CI/CD pipeline.

·Conduct usability testing to assess the user experience and identify areas for improvement.

·Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing objectives.

·Perform regression testing to ensure the stability of new releases and updates.

·Document test results, track defects, and communicate findings to relevant teams.

·Participate in #Agile Events such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, and Sprint Reviews.

·Continually learn and stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing.

Requirements:

·Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

·Three to five years of experience in software testing, preferably in the context of #AI, database systems, and chatbot applications.

·Proficient in testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.

·Experience with test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, Junit, or similar.

·Familiarity with database testing principles, data integrity, performance, and scalability tools.

·Ability to conduct usability testing and assess user experience.

·Understanding of agile development methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.

·Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar for writing test scripts.

·Familiarity with cloud platforms and services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

·Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

·Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

·Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing requirements.

Nice To Have:

·Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo 4j, Amazon Neptune) and natural language processing (NLP) #frameworks.

·Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) or related areas.

·Experience with Executing Browser-based Tests, e.g., Cloud Watch Synthetics, which uses Chromium and Puppeteer so that the website can be crawled, fields filled out, forms submitted, and screenshots of the experience captured. Familiar with API Testing (Postman or RestAssured).
