We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to manage QA/QC activities for engineering construction projects, specifically in Civil, Structural, and Architectural disciplines. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with quality standards, managing documentation, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain project integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and workmanship of all on-site activities align with project requirements and engineering standards.
  • Oversee and manage all QA/QC documentation, including certificates, inspection reports, test results, calibration records, NCRs, and site observations.
  • Inspect and verify material quality upon delivery and on-site to confirm compliance with specifications and project standards.
  • Develop and implement inspection and test procedures, checklists, and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Monitor adherence to quality standards throughout all project stages and disciplines.
  • Supervise inspection and testing activities; coordinate effectively with internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and participate in external audits; ensure timely resolution of non-conformities.
  • Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and job safety/environmental analyses as per project scope.
  • Compile and submit regular quality performance reports and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections with consultants, site engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance.

Key Skills

  • Strong understanding of QA/QC principles and quality management systems.
  • Proficient in quality control documentation and audit processes.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and QA/QC reporting tools.
  • Experience in preparing method statements, ITPs, and risk assessments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • QA/QC Certification (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor) preferred.
  • Familiarity with international codes, standards, and construction materials.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
