Job Description:

• The Release Manager will play a critical role in orchestrating and managing software releases across a largescale program
• The platform is built using cuttingedge technologies such as Java Spring Boot and Microservices architecture and hosted on cloud platforms like AWS
• This position requires a proactive professional with strong organizational communication and technical skills to ensure timely efficient and seamless releases while maintaining highquality standards

Key Responsibilities

• Release Planning and Execution Develop and maintain detailed release plans encompassing timelines milestones and dependencies for all release cycles
• Coordination Across Teams Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Development QA Operations and Product Management to ensure alignment and readiness for releases
• Risk Management Identify potential risks and issues within the release lifecycle and proactively mitigate them to avoid delays or disruptions
• Change Management Ensure that changes introduced in each release are documented communicated and approved according to established processes
• Cloud Deployment Coordinate and oversee deployments to cloud environments like AWS ensuring compliance with security and operational standards
• Automation and Continuous Improvement Drive the adoption of CICD practices and release automation to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Monitoring and Reporting Track release progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders including detailed reports on release performance and metrics
• Issue Resolution Facilitate troubleshooting and work towards resolving issues that arise during the release process while maintaining minimal impact on business operations
• Release Calendar Prepare and maintain the annual Release Calendar coordinating changes and approvals with key management stakeholders
• Merge Management Ensure only validated user stories are merged into the master branch working closely with Development and QA teams
• CAB Presentation Present planned changes in Change Advisory Board CAB meetings and secure approvals across all regions
• PreRelease GoNoGo Call Host GoNoGo calls to align stakeholders and ensure all components are ready for deployment
• PostRelease Support Monitor postdeployment stability coordinate hotfixes if required and conduct Post Implementation Reviews PIR
• Compliance and Documentation Maintain detailed release documentation ensuring adherence to compliance and audit requirements

Preferred Skills

• Certifications in cloud technologies such as AWS Solutions Architect
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Handson experience with observability and monitoring tools
• Ability to drive process improvements and streamline workflows in a large program setting
