Job Description:
Job Overview:
Process Engineering Associate will collaborate with suppliers (CM, PCB Fabricators, Components) and internal cross-functional teams, including Purchase, Store, Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Purchase and Production, to support in developing and validating process stages suitable for assembly and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review the PCBA production package and review PCBA / System integration readiness.
- Validate the process at Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and System Integration sites to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to collect the build / qualification test feedback and prepare lessons learnt report.
- Review DFM/A aspects of new designs and provide feedback for corrective action.
- Prepare build instructions upload in internal NPI database.
- Compete the Product Level FAI/PSR and upload the reports in database.
- Coordinate with Design, Procurement and contract manufacturers (CM) to resolve all the Technical build queries on time.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement the same with due diligence.
- Prepare NPI build reports and process documentations including assembly instruction, critical to process parameters, specifications, and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Interpretation of Gerber, BOM, Mechanical Fab drawing, Assembly Instructions.
- Knowledge on IPC-A-610, JDEC033, J-STD-001 standards.
- Knowledge on Mechanical Standards.
- Interpretation of Electronics & Mechanical technical queries.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, presentation and report preparation skills.
- Proven experience in PCB assembly process & quality activities.
- Candidates from EMS industry preferred.
