Job Description:We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Communication & Battery Management System (BMS) Engineer with expertise in long-range communication systems, battery management, and power electronics. You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of communication systems and battery technologies, ensuring high performance, reliability, and safety under demanding conditions. This role requires technical leadership, problem-solving, and hands-on engineering skills.

Key Responsibilities:• Design and implement long-range communication systems (RF, UHF/VHF, 5G/4G LTE, SATCOM, MIMO), ensuring reliable data transmission in LOS/NLOS conditions.• Develop and optimize the Battery Management System (BMS), focusing on cell balancing, thermal management, State of Charge (SOC), State of Health (SOH), and battery diagnostics.• Collaborate with the embedded systems team to implement battery control algorithms and ensure efficient energy management using MATLAB/Simulink.• Lead the development and testing of high-voltage battery systems and energy storage solutions for automotive and industrial applications.• Ensure the design meets ISO 26262 standards for functional safety in automotive applications.• Design and implement CAN communication systems for data transmission and telemetry.• Perform failure analysis and battery simulation to ensure system reliability and optimize battery life and performance.• Collaborate with the software team to implement battery monitoring, diagnostics, and fault-tolerant communication.• Conduct communication range testing, interference mitigation, and spectrum analysis to optimize communication in various operational environments.• Work on encryption and security protocols to ensure safe data transmission.

Required Skills and Qualifications:• 5+ years of experience in communication systems, BMS, and power electronics, particularly in the automotive or industrial sectors.• Strong understanding of communication systems including RF communication, wireless communication protocols, MIMO, SATCOM, and LOS/NLOS communication.• Hands-on experience with battery management systems (BMS) for lithium-ion batteries, cell balancing, thermal management, SOC/SOH estimation, and battery diagnostics.• Expertise in high-voltage systems, energy storage, and battery pack design.• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ programming for embedded system development.• Knowledge of CAN communication and experience with telemetry systems.• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of interference mitigation and signal propagation.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Educational Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.• A Master’s degree in a relevant field is highly desirable.• Certifications in Battery Management Systems, Power Electronics, or Communication Systems will be a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with battery control algorithms and software-defined radios (SDR).• Familiarity with Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET) and LPWAN technologies.• Experience in failure analysis, communication range testing, and power electronics.• Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with spectrum analysis tools.
