Job Summary:
Acharya Bangalore B-School (ABBS) is an autonomous institution seeking a dedicated and experienced Computer Science faculty member to join the Computer Science Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, engaging in research activities, and contributing to the academic growth of students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching:
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions for BCA courses, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and assessment tools aligned with academic standards.
- Mentor and guide students in their academic projects, internships, and research activities.
2. Curriculum Development:
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of the BCA curriculum, incorporating the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design innovative teaching methods and materials.
3. Research and Publications:
- Engage in research activities and contribute to the academic community through publications in reputed journals.
- Encourage and involve students in research projects, fostering a research-oriented learning environment.
4. Student Mentorship:
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, helping them achieve their educational and career goals.
- Organize and participate in student-related activities, including seminars, workshops, and conferences.
5. Administrative Duties:
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and accreditation processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department by taking on administrative responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- MCA/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with NET/SET qualifications or those with a Ph.D./pursuing a Ph.D.
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level in reputed institutions.
- Strong knowledge of NAAC accreditation processes and experience in an autonomous academic environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high standards of teaching and academic excellence.
