Design & Planning

  • Collaborate with landscape architects to integrate planting schemes into overall site design.
  • Develop planting plans, palettes, and schedules considering aesthetics, function, and sustainability.
  • Select plants suited to climate, soil, topography, and water availability.
  • Suggest native and adaptive species to enhance biodiversity and reduce maintenance costs.

Implementation & Execution

  • Supervise plant procurement, quality control, and installation at site.
  • Ensure correct planting methods, spacing, and soil preparation.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for supply and installation of plant materials.

Maintenance & Management

  • Monitor plant health, growth, and survival rate.
  • Design and implement maintenance schedules (watering, pruning, fertilizing, pest control).
  • Troubleshoot plant diseases and pest issues.

Sustainability & Environmental Role

  • Advise on water-efficient landscaping (xeriscaping, drip irrigation, rainwater harvesting).
  • Ensure compliance with environmental standards and green building norms.
  • Contribute to ecological restoration and habitat creation projects.

Research & Innovation

  • Stay updated on new plant species, materials, and techniques.
  • Experiment with innovative planting combinations, rooftop gardens, vertical gardens, and indoor planting.

Project Coordination & Documentation

  • Prepare cost estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and specifications for planting works.
  • Document and report plant performance and landscape health to the project team.
  • Conduct training for maintenance staff and clients on plant care.

Qualification Criteria

  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Horticulture, Botany, Agriculture, Forestry, or Landscape Horticulture.
  • Diploma in Horticulture with relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Experience:
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in landscape horticulture, nursery management, or related fields (fresh graduates with strong internships can also apply for junior roles).
  • Experience in collaborating with architects/landscape teams is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of plant species, soil science, and pest/disease management.
  • Familiarity with irrigation systems, sustainable landscaping practices, and native plant usage.
  • Ability to read and understand landscape drawings and planting schedules.
  • Other Skills:
  • Good communication and team coordination skills.
  • Strong observation, problem-solving, and reporting abilities.
  • Willingness to travel for site supervision and nursery visits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12, ₹26,111.00 per month
