Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, creative, and experienced Social Media Associate to help develop and implement our social strategy and content across platforms. This is a key role on the brand team to create social content across Proactive For Hers social and other communication touchpoints.


The ideal candidate is clever, extremely online, loves writing, deeply interested in womens health issues and knee deep in social media and internet culture. The role demands social media fluency and the ability to create content that feels native to each individual platform. You thrive in a deadline-driven environment and love building big audiences. Also critical: responsibility in content judgement, excellent writing skills, and interested in continuous wellness and health research.


This role is responsible for ideating, producing, and posting best-in-class content for Proactive For Hers Instagram, FB, YouTube and any other accounts in addition to other communication touchpoints including our blogs and more. Youll work closely with the team to bring strategies to life and, in turn, grow our platform presence and user engagement. You should be a natural collaborator whos comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders across multimedia (video editors/creators), graphic designer, brand, growth teams, doctors and other experts, in addition to influencers and other content creators. Organisational and multitasking skills will be key to maintaining publishing workflows, calendars, and schedules.


We have an ambitious roadmap for expansion and the Social Media Associate will be instrumental to our plans by experimenting with new ideas and initiatives, and finding creative ways to meet our content goals. A bias to action and flexibility are a must.


Heres what youll be working on:

  • Responsible for day-to-day posting on Proactives social accounts including video content on Reels and YT (some light video editing may be required).
  • Creating visual assets for Instagram/YT/FB formats and writing captions with the help of designers and freelance editors where needed (editing on Canva is required).
  • Creating social content calendars, scheduling posts, producing graphics, and keeping the social fires burning.
  • Coordinating the video publication calendar with the external video team and other members of the social team.
  • Regularly receiving insights and recommendations from content and growth teams and figuring out how to execute in a medically sound, brand-authentic manner.
  • Research and staying up-to-date in health and wellness topics, content and other companies
  • Monitoring audience engagement on Proactives accounts (likes, comments, shares, etc.), and interacting as the brand account. Reporting audience sentiment and user feedback.
  • Looking for new user engagement and social growth opportunities, and potential influencers/content creators across the web (on new platforms, or in usual places).
  • Coordinating with freelance writers for blog content production.
  • Creating content for website and other brand assets as needed.
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics insights and best practices, and then action on information.

What makes you qualified?

  • 3-4 years of experience in social media management
  • A passion for internet culture, memes, trends, and finding new ideas in unusual corners of the internet.
  • Excellent writing skills, the ability to write not just with voice and humour, but succinctly with perfect grammar and punctuation.
  • A deep interest in understanding womens health and wellness.
  • Experience with social management, analytics, and listing tools
  • Attention to detail and a passion for proofreading.
  • Proficiency in Canva.
  • Basic video editing skills are a bonus
  • A drive to work independently and practice good time-management.
  • A game-for-anything attitude, a can-do mindset, and the ability to thrive in collaborative environments.
  • Knowledge of social analytic tools.
  • A background in making data-driven decisions and tracking analytics.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and with a passion for working ahead.
