Finance Transformation Consultant

At BlackLine, we're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business of enterprise applications.

Serving as a seasoned advisor to our clients, this role guides them through the implementation process of BlackLine, ensuring they maximize value from our strategic products. The Finance Transformation Consultant will work closely with key client stakeholders, coordinating with cross-functional teams and internal resources to deliver successful implementations.

This position requires deep expertise in BlackLine products, intercompany processes, finance operating models, industry standards, regulations, emerging trends, competitor capabilities/limitations, finance transformation, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the discovery, design, and deployment of transformation projects to streamline the financial close and enable continuous accounting capabilities.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, implementation partners, and internal BlackLine resources to manage project activities.
  • Maintain key customer relationships, ensuring expectations are met throughout delivery and support.
Deliverables & Support:
  • Assist in driving the client solution roadmap working closely with implementations, customer success Consultants, and the product team.
  • Participate in and lead client-facing activities throughout various stages of the deal lifecycle in identifying automation opportunities, solutions, and implementations phases and related planning.
Process Enablement:
  • Identify areas of improvement and collaborate with customers to derive utmost value from the product and increase long-term utilization of BlackLine.
Go-to-Market Assets:
  • Lead the ongoing development of our strategic product playbook and demonstration environment.
  • Train and mentor the broader community of Implementation Consultants.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and services to assist in the development of other assets and help evangelize our strategic products.
About You:
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with prospects/clients, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • BlackLine certification is required.
  • Proven ability to thrive on change and quickly adjust to new situations, project scopes, or customers' needs.
  • Work quickly, maintaining a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in implementations and deliverables.
