Role Description:Design and build advanced applications for the Android platformTranslate designs and wireframes into high quality codeDesign, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin codeEnsure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applicationHelp maintain code quality, organization, and automatizationUnit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresWork with outside data sources and APIsStrong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizesFamiliarity with GraphQL APIs to connect Android applications to back-end servicesStrong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practicesExperience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuningAbility to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, device features such as gyroscopes and accelerometers, camera etc.Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasksAbility to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirementsFamiliarity with cloud message APIs and push notificationsA knack for benchmarking and optimizationUnderstanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelinesProficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitFamiliarity with continuous integrationHave published at least one original Android app

Expectations from the Role:As an Android, you will work closely with the Product Manager and the Tech team to translate a business requirement into a robust and integrated Android app.You will be working in a fast-paced environment solving unique and challenging software problems and developing innovative solutions.
