Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Manager at Penguin Apparels (P) Ltd in Madurai. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, coordinating production schedules, ensuring quality control, and managing production staff. The production manager must have knowledge of Jacket Production. If you're passionate about garment production, especially in outerwear, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities :Oversee the entire production process of down jackets and other outerwear styles from sample development to mass production.Manage and supervise the production team, ensuring optimal efficiency and high-quality standards are maintained throughout.Develop and implement production schedules, monitor progress, and resolve any production delays or issues.Coordinate with sourcing, design, and quality control teams to ensure the garments meet the desired specifications and quality benchmarks.Lead the efforts to improve production processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity.Troubleshoot any production-related challenges, ensuring effective solutions are found quickly.Manage production timelines, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance in line with client and company expectations.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the production process.Qualifications :5+ years of experience

in garment production, with a focus on jackets and outerwear (down jackets experience is essential).Strong expertise in all aspects of garment production, including garment assembly, and finishing techniques for jackets.In-depth understanding of production machinery, materials, and techniques used in outerwear manufacturing.Proven track record in managing and leading production teams in a fast-paced garment production environment.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong knowledge of garment quality standards and production KPIs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or similar process improvement methodologies is a plus.
