We are now seeking a senior talent to join IFF Scent India team as Senior Scent Design Manager . Come join the Creative Leadership force and empowered people at IFF Your Focus As Senior Scent Design Manager, you will manage the Laundry and Home Care categories to successfully support IFF project and innovation pipeline. This includes overseeing all aspects of product design including building the innovation strategy, leveraging consumer insights and IFF technologies in Fabric and Home care (Big Home category). The role will see you focus on managing the pipeline and service the innovation needs, to one of our global accounts with close collaboration with the Commercial team. You will be expected to collaborate across functions and levels to contribute creatively to the development and introduction of new fragrance signature, fragrance technologies, consumer solutions ideas and new development processes. The role is Mumbai, India based. How you will Contribute Innovation Ideation - Stimulate the participation of the IFF community in finding new consumer solutions and development processes. CI strategy - Define what to learn from consumers to gain competitive advantage and build a value proposition. Develop and implement innovation strategies that bring competitive product solutions to win business and position IFF as the innovation leader. Connect market, customer and consumer needs to identify and trigger business opportunities and provide recommendations that drive business results. Following the category strategy write precise briefings to R&D. Project management Partner with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure fragrance strategies align to overall business objectives. Consistently drive process, discipline and effective execution to bring the desired speed to market. Monitor results and have the agility to change the course of a project when needed. Good understanding of the big picture and utilize this knowledge to define and establish competitive solutions or strategies. Maintain regional or global visibility, both internally and externally. Knowledge Management  Support the principles of the learning organization. Develop deep understanding of market, consumer and customer needs aligned with innovation and project needs. Work in close collaboration with Consumer Insight team to generate key insights relevant for customer and internal teams. People Management Manage Scent Design Manager(s), Scent Design Associate(s) and guarantee clear development plans, building on people’s strengths and mentor multi-disciplinary talent. Support project team members in their development. Job Requirements What you will need to be successful Master’s or Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Fragrance, Marketing, Business or any other relevant discipline. Minimum 8-10 years relevant experience in an international environment. Excellent Olfactive communication skills which supports the overall creative process – discriminate, describe (association) and odor memory. Ability to effectively identify potential fragrances based on market relevance. Manage the execution of the Olfactive strategy by providing creative direction and (Olfactive) guidance to Perfumers in order to stimulate creativity. Solid understanding of functional and technical capabilities, including knowledge of the consumers and different markets. Excellent influencing skills across levels within the organization. Strong project management and prioritization skills. Open minded, willing to embrace diversity with strong agility.  Ability to deliver in a fast changing environment and manage pressure. Curious approach, enjoy difficult challenges. Capability in creating compelling communication to teams or stakeholders to drive strategy. Team player, ability to motivate others to achieve results and execute effectively. English language fluency, other language proficiency is a plus. Willing to travel.
