Reports to: HSE Manager / Director of Operations
Job Purpose:
To support the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs within the company. The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring workplace safety, reducing environmental impact, and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
10-15 years of experience working in the HSE field with specific experience working for the FMCG industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
Relevant professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
Proven experience in HSE roles, preferably in the FMCG sector.
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and guidelines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to conduct training and presentations for all levels of staff.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational skills.
Ability to fluently communicate in French or Swahili language.
Experience working with the FMCG and food industry preferable.
Prior Work experience in Congo, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Morocco and Tunisia preferred.
