In 2022, with a vision to provide care from cradle to grave and to support quality mental healthcare for families, institutions, and communities, Amaha acquired the reputed Delhi NCR-based Child and Adolescent Mental Health Institute, Children First, that has been providing support to more than 12,000+ families since its inception in 2008. Together with the founders of Children First - Dr. Amit Sen, Dr. Shelja Sen and Dr. Kavita Arora, the two organizations are together able to service families and individuals across their entire lifespan.
With its overall team of more than 250+ professionals with advanced degrees in technology, business, psychiatry, and psychology, Amaha’s core proposition is to provide end-to-end care -both online & in-person - including consultation, self-care & community support through its digital platform (including mobile app) & its first few in-person centers in Mumbai, Bangalore & Delhi NCR.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Finance with a background as a Chartered Accountant and a minimum of 10-15 years of experience. The Director of Finance will lead our finance, accounting, and administrative team and play a pivotal role in the financial management and growth of our services-based private company in India.
As a CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, providing insights, and making recommendations to drive business success and financial stability. Additionally, you will play a key role in managing fundraising, investor relations, legal, secretarial, and administrative matters to secure funding, ensure legal compliance, and collaborate closely with other senior leaders in the organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to ensure its financial health and growth
Analyze financial data and market trends to make informed financial decisions
Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls
Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and forecasts
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and monitor budget adherence
Work with business leaders to ensure targeted profit delivery
Cost management including suggestions to deliver cost targets
Implement effective risk management practices to safeguard the company's financial stability
Oversee mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, including due diligence, financial analysis, and post-merger integration
Evaluate and optimize the company's corporate structure to support growth and operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax reporting requirements in India
Lead fundraising efforts, including meetings, roadshows, and investor conferences, and maintain relationships with investors and analysts
Manage all legal and secretarial matters to ensure compliance with regulations and support business operations
Collaborate with other senior leaders in the organization to align financial strategies with broader business goals
Qualification Required
Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of experience
Strong knowledge of Indian financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business growth
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong leadership and team management skills
