As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking - Payments Technology Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
To lead the transformation of testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function through the use of quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving accuracy and integrity. Evolve more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing solutions. Build, implement and utilize a testing framework that will be adopted across large teams Create testing pipelines and workflows to support Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Experience working within IT security as it applies to application security and the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) Instill standards around test driven design across the product teams Participate in the development, deployment, and administration of QA process, tools, and supporting technologies Rollout of tooling to support and integrate with enterprise testing standardsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. Hands-on practical experience on software testing, automation engineering and performance testing Expertise on Automation testing to include: Test development, release and maintenance - Web, API, UI, functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, load, performance and end to end testing Software quality and testing methodologies Test automation tools/frameworks (. Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium) Performance tools like JMeter, Blazemeter CI/CD pipeline and tooling Experience developing software using Python, Java, C, C++, or other high-level programming languages. Own and manage the functional & non-functional testing activities end to end, taking responsibility for team, setting realistic expectations and delivering on them Manage multiple deliveries at project and program levels simultaneously Build efficiency in testing and continuous improvement of test methods, techniques and process. Develop and execute a comprehensive test automation strategy, processes and procedures for data-related applications and systems. Design and implement functional and non-functional test automation framework Develop and implement strategies to reduce test execution time and increase test accuracy Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and data scientists, to ensure effective test coverage. Drive continuous improvement of test automation practices through retrospectives and knowledge-sharing sessions Lead a team of test automation engineers, providing mentorship and guidance on best practices and standards Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of test automation efforts through performance metrics and reporting Identify and implement tools and technologies to enhance test automation efficiency and accuracy Drive the adoption of DevOps practices within the test automation team. Foster a culture of quality within the organization through effective test automation practices Monitor and report on test automation coverage and effectiveness Supporting & driving regression testing using automated regression test pack and Behavioral Development Testing methodology. Liaise with test team to execute and provide support during their ST, SIT, NFT, UAT, OAT & LCT test phases. Proactive reporting of risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement test automation standards and guidelines Following established process and practices with regards to source code management and audit controls Working closely with global technology team members in other regions, participating in and contributing to technical discussions. Participation in management team meetings covering overall testing status, impact & key improvements.-
