About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Engineer Trainee Estimations to join our growing team. This role is ideal for fresh engineering graduates or early professionals looking to build a career in cost estimation, quantity surveying, and pre-construction planning. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to support cost planning and estimation for residential, MSB, and infrastructure projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment based on project specifications and drawings.
- Review and analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine project scope and quantities
- Support in preparation of BOQ (Bill of Quantities), rate analysis, and cost comparisons.
- Collaborate with project teams, procurement, and vendors to obtain and validate pricing information.
- Assist in updating and maintaining estimation databases and historical cost records.
- Participate in tendering processes, including preparing pre-bid queries and compiling bid submissions.
- Conduct site visits, as needed, to gather data and verify quantities.
- Ensure adherence to company standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements in estimation procedures.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. (Freshers can apply).
- 0–1 year of experience in cost estimation, tendering, or quantity surveying (internships/projects will be considered).
- Basic understanding of estimation and costing techniques in construction projects.
- Familiarity with residential, MSB (Multi-Storeyed Buildings), and infrastructure project types is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of estimation tools such as AutoCAD, CostX, or MS Project is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.
