Roles & Responsibilities

  • To monitor the requisitions raised from thevessels and arrange for the procurement and supply of spares, services, stores,and freight forwarding services necessary for the safe operation of theCompanys fleet of vessels.

-To plan and procure machinery spare parts andmachinery services at strategic locations with contracted vendors, consolidate,and connect at a convenient port.

-To plan and arrange delivery of quarterlystores as well as the vessels emergency store requirements at a convenient portbased on the vessels trading pattern.

-To get quotes from minimum 3 suppliers andensure that the quotations are provided with all necessary details andspecifications.

-To compare the quotes received and select themost suitable and Cost-effective supplier without sacrificing the quality.

-To ensure that the purchase procedures arefollowed in the software.

-Addressing vendor queries regardingoutstanding payments.

-To follow up on invoices and to make sure theinvoices are cleared on time and within the credit terms.

-To arrange service technicians throughservice vendors for sudden emergency break downs.

-To ensure that the set KPI targets for theprocurement functions are achieved.

Educational Qualification

Any degree with or without experience. Mechanicalengineering/Diploma is preferred
